If you lose your way just know that I got you.

When I was diagnosed with AIS, that’s Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome to the uninitiated, I was like what the actual fluff & stuff. Nothing made sense. My parents didn’t make sense. The doctors didn’t make sense. I know I passed biology, but biology didn’t make sense. I watched those weird gross videos in health class, and now none of that made sense either. My body, which I had known for 15 years at that point had suddenly turned traitor and didn’t make sense either!
Well, my little gumdrop, I got you.

Are you a parent?
Hi Parents! I am so gad that you found us. There is so much confusing information out there on androgen insensitivity syndrome, it can be hard to know what choices to make. I hope we can help you be the best advocate for your child.
Are you a doctor?
Welcome! All of our data is backed and cited by scholarly articles and practical experience from having complete androgen insensitivity syndrome. I hope you use this data to practice medicine with empathy and kindness for your patients.
What are my qualifications to help?
I’m simply a person with AIS with access to the internet. Take everything I say with a grain of salt. At no point should any of this website should be taken for medical advice. This whole website is my story and knowledge I’ve searched for and gained after years and years of toil and struggle. I hope that by putting it all in one public place it can help make the journey a little easier for the next generation out there.
What is Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome?
(Also Known as Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, Partial Insensitivity Syndrome, Mild Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome, or simply as AIS)
People with Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome are born with XY chromosomes and have a mutation on the androgen receptor. This means they produce androgens, but their bodies have trouble understanding androgens. People with AIS have no internal female reproductive organs and have internal or descended testes that are unable to reproduce offspring.
